The Undead are beings whose flesh and body are corrupted with Axhol. After death, Axhol would invade a Living’s corpse, giving it a new form of life. An unburnt corpse would rise again in Morbidia, for in this realm, no death is permanent.

When it comes to the Undead, it is best to ask oneself, “How do one prevent the Undead into becoming?” rather than “How does the Undead exist?” It was accepted, by all Living, that the Undead was the original version of ‘the Dead’ written in books and taught in history lessons. They came with resilience, overwhelming the Living with their sheer numbers. The Undead sought to swarm, attack, and stop at nothing to increase their ranks. This attribute is a great asset for Death Summoners, for it makes them the perfect soldiers. No questions, no emotions. Just attack. Without an end.

It is believed that the absence of Archangel Samael’s physical form was what causes the growing Axhol in Morbidia, just as what had happened millennia ago before the angels came to Morbidia. With the Flesh of Samael missing, there was not enough Life Esa to prevent Axhol from infusing into a dead body.
